This 7,078-yard course is the most challenging among the three courses.

Named both by Golf Magazine and Golf Digest as one of the country’s 10 best new resort courses in 1994, this golf course maintained its beauty, to have been awarded with another honor – the world’s best designed courses by Conde Nast Traveler’s readers.

If you decide to play here, be prepared to hurdle its challenges, including number 8, which is perhaps the most difficult among the holes. However, no matter how it tests your skills, you will be rewarded with a magnificent view of the ocean between the tee boxes. You will also be surprised with the fairway, which is a dark papohaku wall, and a verdant green that is ringed by coconut trees and a sparkling white bunker.

With the terrain’s natural undulations and unimaginable ocean vistas, it’s layout was masterfully designed to suit every player’s level, including its four to six holes. Did you know that this course has also been called the “thinking player’s course” because it truly tests one’s golf’s skills? But don’t worry if you are a beginner, because there are always easy holes for you to play.

In recent years, Wailea Gold Course was honored several times again by Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Golfweek, Gayot and Zagat. And then the local readers of The Maui News voted it as one of their top choices in the “Best Golf Course” category, later on.

You see: this multitude of awards from tourists and locals cannot deny the fact that this course is worth playing for. Thanks to its designer Architect Robert Trent II, who geniusly created a world-class playing yard for golf enthusiasts as well as beginners.
