Are you looking for a tropical evening getaway that gets you closer to the Pacific?

Star of Honolulu got it all for you, plus more! This 1,500-passenger brings you 2 hours of an excursion, gazing at the stunning sunset while dining and having fun, accompanied by live contemporary entertainment. Star of Honolulu’s Pacific Star Sunset Buffet and Show is one of the most popular pacific sunset cruises in Hawaii. Why not? It offers exciting activities, more fun, and good food with its eat-all you can buffet, including roast beef, at a reasonable cost.

Share the Aloha spirit as the friendly crew welcomes you with a complimentary Star signature mai tai. Feel at home, dining in the beautifully-decorated dining rooms while listening to relaxing Hawaiian music because you deserve it. Here’s a piece of good news – you can treat yourself to huge savings with Star of Honolulu’s discount coupons on their best deals! And if you happen to book on a Friday, witness the sky as it lights up a blend of blues, oranges, and purples with its famous Star fireworks.

What to Expect?

For your memorable evening, you are required to wear something casual (no shorts). Perhaps a pair of pants and something decent for your upper wear is perfect if you’re a gentleman. Well, we all know ladies have a lot of clothing, don’t we? In winter, you may bring a light jacket to warm yourself because it gets chilly on the ocean at this time of the year.  If you arranged for roundtrip transportation(available as an add-on), a bus would pick you up from your hotel before the check-in time, which is 45 minutes before boarding. Whereas if you’re driving, make sure to check-in at 4:45 pm onwards before the departure. Star of Honolulu departs from Pier 8, Aloha Tower Marketplace at 5:30 pm, and parking areas are available at pier 5 and 6. To avail of a reduced parking fee, simply present your reservation tickets to the Reservations Office. Please note that parking fees on Fridays cost a little more.

At the pier-side, beautiful dancers on their colorful costumes welcome you with a graceful hula dance. It’s a tradition that the Star of Honolulu has embraced through the years. Some courteous attendants lead you to the dining rooms, where they also serve a complimentary original Star mai tai. If you wish for another round, it’s available for purchase. To make your dinner more appetizing, you can also order other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages such as sparkling wine, champagne, soda, or juice.

And the buffet is officially opened. A variety of foods are served and are displayed beautifully like a royal buffet. They’re ultimately a feast on the eyes, as well as on the stomach. Have a taste of the BBQ chicken and Pacific Rim roast beef, which receives a lot of thumbs up from guests for its delicious taste. If you are a vegan, there is a wide range selection for fresh vegetables such as vine-ripened tomatoes, Japanese cucumber, seasonal fresh fruit platter, and others. Star of Honolulu ensures serving freshly-picked vegetables and fruits from the gardens in the Pacific to give you just the best. While dining, there are strolling musicians who play Hawaiian music and take requests from the guests. After all, music creates a tranquil environment that makes your meal more pleasurable. Finally, you get to indulge in sweet desserts like coconut cake and homemade brownies.

After Dinner Events

Your Pacific Star Sunset Buffet and Show is not over yet. One of the highlights of this cruise is to watch the sun disappear from the skies until dusk. Treat yourself with a glass or two of champagne or fine wine that you can purchase from the bar. Or maybe, share a toast with your significant others? Get to the 60-foot high sunset view deck to have a 360-degree view of the sunset and coastline, where you can capture instagrammable photos. Get ready to be impressed with the “Polynesian Journey” show, where you witness the fascinating stories of Polynesians, their creations, challenges, talents, and many more. As a part of your journey, the hosts ask you to join in some fun activities, so bring out your competitive streak. They want you to leave Star of Honolulu with a happy heart and stomach, where you might probably go back again for another round of a great experience.
