Private Surfing lesson with Big wave surfer Drake Hickman

Having the personal, undivided attention of an expert surf instructor is the most effective way to build basic skills and master more advanced techniques. Our private surf lessons are available to students age 5 and up, and cover a succession of topic and areas of focus including:

Techniques for paddling through the break
Maneuvering the surfboard
Reading and selecting waves
Turning
Timing
Surf etiquette
Tides and other factors that affect wave quality

Remember to wear swimming attire, sunscreen and bring a hat and/or sunglasses! Life is bright, you gotta have shades!
