Duration

About
Explore the best part of the seven-mile miracle on a self-balancing all-terrain hoverboard guided tour. This hidden stretch of beaches contains the world’s best and most dangerous waves including Banzi Pipeline, Sunset Beach, Backdoor and Log Cabins. During winter months the best professional surfers on the planet crown a champion after a series of competitions on these world-class breaks.
Easily missed from the road and frequently without parking, glide on your hoverboard with your guide along a shaded pathway to beach access right of ways and marvel at some of the best waves and scenic beaches in the world. Feel the energy when the waves are large or take in the beauty of the ocean when it’s calm. Find out which oceanfront mansions are full of sponsored surfers and the secluded beaches you’ll want to return to after the tour. Along the tour, your guide will point out some of the beautiful tropical plants, Ancient Hawaiian sacred areas, and local tips on fun things to not be missed while visiting the north shore.
Itinerary
Starting just beyond one of the most dangerous massive waves in the world, Waimea Bay, you’ll meet your local guide at Pupukea Beach Park and learn to use your hoverboard. After safety instructions and some practice, your hoverboard will become an extension of you to effortlessly explore the island on. Riding in protected areas away from the main road, we hover over bridges, in shady tropical plant lined pathways to scenic vantage points and beyond.
You’ll learn about where the first westerners stepped foot on Oahu, the island’s largest sacrificial temple nearby, and native legends. See the popular snorkeling spot, Sharks cove, with its sharp volcanic lava rock formations emerging out of the water. Enjoy wonderful views of the steep Waianae Range in the distance and learn where the Hawaiian God Maui tried to pull Kauai closer with his fish hook.
With many opportunities to get off our hoverboards and take pictures on the beach, the natural sand amphitheater of Pipeline is a highlight. Large hollow waves crash over sharp shallow coral very close to the shore making for unforgettable photo opportunities of brave surfers hoping to ride inside the barrel and escape unharmed. Many lives have been lost at this break that some say is the deadliest in the world.
Continuing on to Sunset Beach we stop for a photo at the famous curved palm tree and to marvel at the long point break waves. Before turning back we stop at a locally famous bakery Teds, with the opportunity to grab a fresh coconut haupia or other pie to eat on the beach at our last stop.
