Kō Hana Rum is a family-owned company that produces Hawaii’s only premium rum. Born and raised in Honolulu, the Kō Hana family has been farming sugar cane since 1899. They create their award-winning White and Dark Rums from the most refined sugar cane grown in Hawaii. Our tours teach visitors how our rums are made while highlighting critical economic aspects of the islands, such as agriculture, tourism, sustainability, and local culture.
Kō Hana Rum Tasting Tour Central Oahu is a farm-to-bottle, small-batch, single variety, handcrafted, and Hawaiian Agricole rum. The tour offers free gelato for children 12 years old and younger.
We offer two different tours: the standard tasting tour that lasts one hour and focuses on the history of Kō Hana Rum Company; or the premium tasting tour that lasts 1.5 hours and includes a deeper look into distilling techniques with an in-depth explanation of how our rum is made from cane to bottle. General admission tickets are $25, youth tickets are $15 (ages 13 to 20), while children ages 12 years old and under get in for free with each adult ticket purchase.
Kō Hana Rum Tasting Tour Central Oahu is a one-hour tour with views of Diamond Head, Pearl Harbor, the Waianae Mountains, and one of the island’s largest aquaponic farms. This family-owned business offers tours every day at 11 am and 2 pm. The time includes a glass of fresh-pressed cane juice made from the native varieties of sugar cane brought to Hawaii by early Polynesians, as well as rum tasting in three different styles: traditional (dark), gold (transparent), and white (coconut).
