Did you know that your Kauai island experience begins at the Hokuala Golf Course?

It opens doors to a unique experience of Hawaii’s culture, history, and nature with the awe-inspiring views of the golf course itself, the island, the trails, and the restaurant that are located in the resort.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, who describes it as “a laid-back tropical paradise,” Hokuala Golf Course guarantees fun golfing games to both beginners and professionals. Named by MSN Travel as one of the world’s most beautiful courses, it stretches through mango and guava groves to seaside cliffs. We suggest bringing your cameras because you never want to miss capturing the jungle views on the front nine and the ocean views on the back nine. Also, holes 11 and 12 parallel the Lihue airport’s runways, so you can see airplanes landing from these holes.

The front nine challenges you with many ravines while the back nine tests your skills and patience with its trade winds and some difficult holes, but lets you see beautiful mountainous terrain that you’ve never seen before. One of the many reasons you must visit Hokuala is their friendliest and most helpful staff who make sure you get all you need, including delivering your beer cart.

If you travel without your golf clubs or shoes, You can rent them from their pro shop at affordable prices. Women, men, and kids’ apparel are also available as well as gift cards, golf balls, and accessories.

Dining in the course is one of the most fun because the Hualani restaurant serves authentic Hawaiian dishes. Their ingredients come from the farmers and fishermen on the island, so everything is harvested locally. Their menu depends on the season of the ingredients, including Organic Farmer’s Salad, Ahi Tuna Sashimi tataki, Art’s Smoked Chicken, Pan Seared market Fish, and desserts like Banana Bread Pudding and Papalani gelato.

They understand dining with beverages completes your meal, so they offer many kinds of beers, wines, and speciality cocktails such as Mai Tai, Oceans 11, and Happy Madison.
