A team of lifeguard and CPR trained instructors and safety guides provide a great experience for the beginner, intermediate and advanced surfer.
Private lessons are one to one surfing instruction with instructor. The private lesson provides a higher wave count and more specific instruction with guidance and detail to paddling technique, turning the surfboard, maneuvering over waves and positioning. Proper water safety and etiquette will also be taught. This lesson begins with a 20-minute land lesson. Private lessons include a free Hans Hedemann T-shirt.

- 6 Locations on Oahu: New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel, Park Shore Hotel, Outrigger Reef on The Beach, Sheraton Waikiki, Kahala Hotel and Resort, Turtle Bay Resort (North Shore). For safety, Hans Hedemann recommends that children under 13 years of age, go on private lessons. Private lessons ensure the best results and as always safety first.
