Nothing compares to playing golf in a classic resort-style layout, with stunning views in the background! Are you seeking a unique way to spend a day outdoors while on Big Island?

Why don’t you head to Waikoloa Beach Drive and drop by Waikoloa Beach Resort, where the Beach Course is located. Whether you are a beginner or a professional golfer, this course features challenges that test your skills and patience!

Designed by a great architect Robert Trent Jones II, Beach Resort is one of the most popular in the land of Aloha for its jaw-dropping panoramas, with the Pacific Ocean as a witness to your every hit or miss. And when you turn left and right, lava fields that border the fairways greet you! As experienced as he is, Jones took advantage of the lava and water, in addition to the prevailing trade winds as obstructions. So, when you come to visit, remember to bring your camera because you don’t want to miss capturing postcard-worthy photos here!

Beach course is absolutely generous from the front tees, featuring large greens and low-lipped bunkers as a bonus to the social golfer, but it gets difficult from the back tees challenging the enthusiasts and most skilled players. Whether you are an average or professional golfer, you have a chance to go low and make birdies. But you can also find it fun if you are a beginner or with your family who simply wants to enjoy the course. Here’s a little fact: A good tee ball should find the wide fairway but be cautious because the wind can blow harder here by the shoreline than in any other part of the course, so make sure to aim wisely.

One of the must-do’s in the course is dining. The resort offers 30 restaurants, which serve a variety of cuisine – from Hawai’i Island’s exotic flavors to Mexican and Italian menus. The Pacific Ocean is visible while enjoying your breakfast. Or perhaps, feel the cold breeze of the tropical wind at sunset while sharing pupus or appetizers with your friends.

Suppose you fancy shopping or just want to buy mementos or keepsakes for your friends and family back home, head over to their shops and boutiques nearby. They sell accessories, clothes for men, women, and kids, even for the fashionistas, as well as golf apparel.
