Full Moon Rhythms Cruise: What to Expect?

Check-in at least 45 minutes before 5:30 pm at the Pacific Whale Foundation’s Ocean Store located in the Harbor Shops Courtyard. There is a free parking lot at the Maʻalaea Harbor Shops, fronting Maui Ocean Center. Here’s a tip for you: arrive earlier if you want to sit at the front upper deck.

Climb aboard the double-decker vessel, where the friendly staff greets and welcomes you with Aloha. As you can see, the boat is full and spacious, that allows plenty of comfortable seating. Find your spot and listen to a short safety briefing before heading out to the shore. Never waste any minute watching at the beautiful sight around you. Some people love to document it through video recording and/or capturing photos on their phone cameras. You may also order drinks at this time. Remember that you have three complimentary alcoholic beverages so you can consume those. Otherwise, there are other unlimited refreshments such as soda, juice, and filtered water. If you’re not into alcohol, make other people happy by sharing yours.

Satisfy your sense of sight with the panoramic views, and at the same time, spoil your ears with live Hawaiian music by Maui’s Marty Dread. He seems to know how to persuade his audience into dancing with his music. Now, lead your partner and dance the night away.

When it’s time for dinner, foods are served at the lower cabin, where the galley bar is also located with a serving area. The indoor cabin is clean and cozy with nice interiors. This is the perfect time to dine since the sunset’s colors are so bright, illuminating its reflection to the water. Now, it’s time to feast on Hoisin turkey wrapped with lettuce. Have a bite on those juice prime rib crostinis served with horseradish cream and vegetable spring rolls. Try the chips, dipping into the artichoke dressing. Finish your meal with a delicious dessert before another round of fun.

After Dinner Party under the Full Moon

After your meal, it’s best to stay at the upper deck to have a full view of the moon. Chances are, you can spot whales, especially in winter. Did you know that humpback whales migrate to the warm Hawaiian waters to breed and give birth to their calves? If you wish to continue partying, focus on the music, let your body do the rest, and reggae to the island-style music playing in the background. Before calling it a night, you get to walk out of the boat with a full-size colored marine wildlife poster as a souvenir.
