Health & Safety
Our fat tire e-bike rentals are designed for confident, intermediate or stronger riders. These are full-size 26″ bikes with 26″ fat tires, weighing approximately 55–60 lbs. If you are not comfortable riding a standard two-wheeled bicycle, this experience is not suitable for you. Because this is an active bike excursion, no refunds are provided if you are unable to ride the bike safely or control it on your own.

About the E-Bike Experience
We are the only outfitter offering fat tire e-bikes inside Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park. With electric assist and wide tires, you can cover many miles with minimal effort and glide smoothly along approved park roads and designated paths. This is a fun, fast, and exhilarating way to experience the park and is often remembered as a highlight of visitors’ time on the Big Island.
The bikes are powerful yet approachable. If you already ride a regular bicycle comfortably, you’ll find them easy to learn. Before you head out, our team will provide a short orientation and safety demonstration so you feel confident using the bike and its controls.
Why E-Bikes in the Park
Skip the hassle of finding parking at popular viewpoints
Move through the park more quickly than cars or walking
Stop at all the major lookouts and attractions in less time
