Since the eruption of Kīlauea on December 23, 2024, there have been frequent and spectacular lava fountaining events, some reaching heights of 1,000 feet. These events occur every 1-2 weeks, providing an unforgettable backdrop to your journey through the park’s diverse ecosystems.

1. Meet at Volcanoes National Park Visitor Center: Your guide will greet you and go over the day’s plan.

3. Steam Vent Discovery: Hike through large cracks where steam and gas escape from beneath the earth’s surface.

4. Lava Viewing: If conditions allow, view Kīlauea’s caldera, with the possibility of seeing an active lava lake or lava fountains.

• 24-Hour Cancellation Notice: Customers will receive a full refund or credit if they cancel with at least 24 hours’ notice.

• Operator Cancellations: If the tour is canceled by the operator due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, customers will receive a full refund or credit.

• No-Shows: Customers who do not show up for the tour will be charged the full price.
