About the Experience

Your guide, Scotty, the owner and an experienced marine naturalist who has been leading kayak tours on Maui since 2005, will take you on a leisurely paddle through Makena Bay, one of South Maui’s most beautiful and tranquil locations. Glide along calm, turquoise waters while exploring Maui’s stunning coastline and coral reefs.
Depending on the time of year, you can:
- Kayak alongside humpback whales during Maui’s Whale Season (January 1 – March 31).
- Snorkel at Turtle Town, home to Hawai‘i’s endangered green sea turtles and colorful reef life.
- Visit some of Scotty’s favorite hidden spots, away from the crowds—where lucky guests sometimes even encounter a Hawaiian monk seal.
Throughout your adventure, Scotty will capture professional underwater photos, which you’ll receive free of charge as a lasting memory of your experience.
Makena Bay’s shallow, well-lit reefs and calm morning waters make it ideal for families with kids, first-time paddlers, and experienced adventurers alike.
