Tour Highlights
Haleakalā Summit – House of the Sun
Your adventure begins with a scenic ascent to the 10,023-foot summit of Haleakalā. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Visitor Center to learn about the volcano’s fascinating geology and cultural stories deeply rooted in Hawaiian history.
At the top, gaze out over an expansive crater that looks like another planet. On clear days, you can even see neighboring islands across the Pacific horizon. Keep watch for the graceful Nēnē, Hawaii’s beloved state bird.
Tip: Temperatures at the summit can be 20–40°F cooler than along the coast, so we recommend bringing a hoodie or jacket.
Short Forest Walk (Optional)
If you enjoy nature or birding, we can take a leisurely stroll through an upland forest to spot colorful endemic birds that thrive only in Hawai‘i. For avid birdwatchers, we also offer a specialized Birding Tour that delves even deeper into this unique ecosystem.
Lunch Stop – Choose Your Own Experience
After descending from Haleakalā, enjoy a leisurely farm-to-table lunch at one of Maui’s beloved local spots:

ʻĪao Valley Adventure (Optional Add-On)

Marvel at the famous ʻĪao Needle, wander through the Kepaniwai Cultural Gardens, and, if you like, dip your toes in the cool, gentle stream.
Upcountry Exploration (Alternative Option)
Alternatively, immerse yourself in the Upcountry region, known for its serene vibe, cooler temperatures, and sweeping views of the island below. We’ll pass through charming small towns and picturesque farmlands where island life slows to a peaceful rhythm.
