About the Luau
THE SHOW
Lu’au Kalamaku goes beyond the traditional luau by offering an immersive experience that takes you to the heart of ancient Polynesia. While you’ll enjoy ono Hawaiian food, an imu unveiling, Tahitian rhythms, fantastic music, and traditional hula dancing, the real magic comes from the way we transport you through time.

Set during the epic voyages between Hawaii and Tahiti, the show follows the longest sea routes of Polynesia. The performance weaves together laughter, fear, seduction, and fire to create a new legacy, rooted in the cherished traditions of the ancestors. It culminates in an incredible fire dream, featuring fire poi balls and traditional fire knife dancing. As the climax builds, Pele, the fire goddess, her sister Hiiaka, Lohiau the prince of Kauai, and the fire-breathing Moo-dragon women pay tribute to Kauai’s rich mythology.

This is not just a show—you are part of the story. Celebrate Kauai’s primal rhythms and join in the family’s deep journey, as they search for the courage and vision to carry them far beyond the horizon.
