Refund Policy
Refunds will be honored if cancellation requests are made directly to Luau Kalamaku or your booking agency within 48 hours of your scheduled check-in time. Please contact us by phone or email (for after-hours cancellations). If you booked through a third-party agency, your payment was collected by them, and your refund will come directly from that agency. Cancellation requests made outside the 48-hour window or no-shows will incur a full charge.

Group Bookings (20 or more guests)
For groups of 20 or more, whether booked directly or through an affiliate, cancellations made at least 21 days (3 weeks) before the reservation date will receive a full refund. Group size reductions of up to 10% (e.g., 2 guests in a 20-person group) can be made by this deadline. Cancellations or changes within 21 days of the reservation date are non-refundable.

Trip Protection
Trip Protection is available only for bookings made directly through Luau Kalamaku’s website (www.LuauKalamaku.com) or by calling our reservations team. It is not applicable to third-party or agency bookings. Trip Protection must be selected at the time of booking and is non-refundable. This option allows for cancellation or rescheduling for any reason before 1:30 PM on the day of the luau. Guests will receive a full refund, minus the cost of Trip Protection and any applicable processing or booking fees. Once rescheduled using Trip Protection, the booking cannot be cancelled or refunded again.

Planning Your Train & Luau Adventure

  • The historic plantation train ride lasts approximately 1 hour and covers 2.5 miles of scenic track. This includes boarding time, the narrated journey, and disembarkation at the luau venue.

  • The train ride and luau occur at connected locations. The train journey concludes near the luau venue, with a short, pleasant walk between activities. Transportation coordinates both experiences seamlessly.

  • The historic train operates in most weather conditions as it’s designed for tropical climates. In case of severe weather, we provide covered waiting areas and may adjust timing slightly for safety while maintaining the full experience.

  • Yes, souvenir shops are available at both the train station and luau venue. You’ll find authentic Hawaiian crafts, railroad memorabilia, and cultural items. Your transportation includes storage space for purchases.

  • Absolutely. The train features comfortable seating with easy boarding, and the luau venue is fully accessible. Our staff assists guests with mobility needs, and transportation vehicles are equipped for comfort.
