Essential Information for Your Volcano Journey

  • Dress comfortably for a full day outdoors. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are a must for walking on uneven surfaces, and a light jacket or warm layer is recommended, as temperatures can be cooler at higher elevations.

  • If the helicopter portion is canceled due to weather or other operational reasons, you will receive a refund for the helicopter segment of the tour. In most cases, you’ll continue with an extended land-based itinerary so you can still enjoy the full day’s sightseeing.

  • Yes. Every guest must present a valid government-issued photo ID at helicopter check-in. Without proper identification, you will not be allowed to board and standard no-show penalties will apply.

  • Children ages 2 and above can participate with adult supervision. The ground portion requires moderate walking ability on uneven volcanic terrain. Helicopter portions accommodate children safely with appropriate restraint systems. Very young children may find the volcanic environment overwhelming due to sounds and sulfur odors.

  • Volcanic gases (primarily sulfur dioxide) are present in active volcanic areas. Exposure is minimized through strategic positioning and wind monitoring. People with asthma, respiratory conditions, or pregnancy should avoid volcanic gas exposure. We provide safety briefings and monitor conditions to ensure guest comfort and safety.
