Advanced Diving Tour - Essential Information

  • Participants must hold Advanced Open Water certification or equivalent with a minimum of 25 logged dives recommended. Some dive sites may require Deep Diver or Wreck Diver specialties depending on conditions and planned penetrations. Recent diving experience within the past year is strongly recommended, and refresher courses are available if needed before the advanced dive tour.

  • Dive sites are selected based on current conditions, but typically include one wreck dive (Corsair, YO-257, or Sea Tiger), one advanced reef dive (Turtle Canyon or Keehi Lagoon), and one deep or drift dive location. Final site selection considers weather, current, visibility, and group experience level to ensure optimal diving conditions and safety throughout the day.

  • Each tank dive lasts 35-50 minutes depending on air consumption and conditions. Maximum depths typically range from 60-100 feet depending on the specific dive sites and diver certifications. Surface intervals of 60-90 minutes between dives ensure proper nitrogen off-gassing while allowing time for equipment checks, marine life discussion, and light refreshments.

  • Basic underwater cameras are available for rent, and our dive masters provide photography instruction throughout the dives. For serious underwater photographers, we recommend bringing your own equipment or renting professional gear in advance. Our guides assist with lighting, positioning, and marine life photography techniques to help capture stunning images of Oahu’s underwater world.

  • Oahu offers multiple world-class dive sites, allowing flexibility when weather affects specific locations. Our experienced dive masters monitor conditions continuously and select alternative premium sites ensuring exceptional diving experiences regardless of weather. Safety remains the top priority, and tours may be rescheduled if conditions are unsuitable for advanced diving operations.
