Learn to surf with guidance from experienced watermen who will support you every step of the way. Your lesson starts with a safety slideshow, followed by a land lesson to help you practice the fundamentals of standing up on your surfboard. After that, head into the warm Hawaiian waters of Waikiki, where our instructors will assist you in catching the rolling waves.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or have had a few lessons, our instructors will ensure you make noticeable progress during your time in the water.

Extended Surf Lesson FAQs

  • Not at all! Two hours is actually ideal for beginners as it provides time to absorb instruction, practice techniques, and gain confidence without feeling rushed. We include rest periods as needed.

  • Approximately 90 minutes is spent in the water, with the remaining time for beach instruction, safety briefings, and equipment fitting. This balance ensures quality learning and adequate practice time.

  • Our lessons are paced appropriately with rest periods. Most students find two hours perfect for learning without becoming overly fatigued. We monitor energy levels and adjust accordingly.

  • Subject to availability, yes! If you’re enjoying your lesson and want to continue, we can often extend your session. We recommend booking two hours initially to guarantee the extended time.
