About This Private Group Surf Lesson
This lesson is built for families and larger groups who want their own dedicated instruction—no shared class, no strangers added. When you reserve a private group session, your instructor team works exclusively with your party and tailors the coaching to your group’s comfort level, goals, and pace.
It’s a strong fit for big celebrations and group travel, including wedding groups, family reunions, corporate outings, and conference meetups. Instructor-to-student support is set during booking based on your group size, and your lesson is led by a professional instructor who is Red Cross CPR certified and deeply familiar with North Shore ocean conditions—so the experience stays safe, upbeat, and memorable.
What to Expect (1.5–2 Hours)
You’ll start on land with clear, step-by-step coaching: how to pop up, how to stay safe in the water, and the basics of surf etiquette. Then you’ll head into the ocean with guidance focused on helping your group catch as many waves as possible—without sacrificing safety or confidence. No prior surfing experience is required.
Gear Included
Rash guard
Leash
Soft-top or epoxy surfboard (based on conditions and fit)
More Than Surfing: Ocean Wildlife Encounters
Depending on the season and your surf location, you may be in waters known for excellent snorkeling and marine-life sightings. It’s common to spot green sea turtles, and at certain times of year you may also see humpback whales during migration, spinner dolphins in warmer months, reef fish, and occasionally manta rays.
Satisfaction Guarantee
If anyone in your group feels the surfing lesson or service didn’t meet expectations, a refund is offered—no hassle, no debate.
