  • Wear sunglasses to keep the wind out of your eyes.

  • Wear closed-toe shoes. Loose “slippers” (sandals) will be removed and stored during your flight to ensure they don’t fly out the door.

  • Arrive at our office 45 minutes before your scheduled flight time.

Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy

  • Magnum Helicopters has a 48-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy.

  • All cancellations or rescheduling must be made at least 48 hours prior to tour departure.

  • Changes requested within 48 hours of departure will not be honored.

  • No-shows will be charged the full price of the tour.

Weather Policy

  • Weather in Hawaii can change rapidly. The pilot makes the final weather decision up to 15 minutes before flight time.

  • If the tour is cancelled due to weather, you will be offered either:

    • An option to reschedule (subject to availability), or

    • A refund.

In-Flight Weather Changes

  • If inclement weather is encountered during the flight, the pilot may alter the route at their discretion for safety reasons.

Most standard landings allow 45-60 minutes for exploration, photography, and refreshments. Extended ground time can be arranged for special occasions or detailed exploration requests.

  • Safety measures include comprehensive pre-flight briefings, emergency communication equipment, first aid supplies, weather monitoring systems, and pilots trained in remote area operations. Landing sites are pre-surveyed for safety and accessibility. Emergency evacuation procedures are established for all approved landing locations.

  • While gourmet refreshments are typically included, special dietary requests and personal food preferences can be accommodated with advance notice. Alcohol service may be available depending on location and local regulations. Glass containers are prohibited for safety reasons during helicopter transport.

  • Alternative landing sites are always prepared as backup options for weather contingencies. Your pilot will select the best available location based on current conditions while maintaining safety standards. If weather prevents all landing activities, the flight becomes a scenic tour with potential rescheduling or partial refund options.
