Embark on a spectacular coastal view tour, offering the exclusivity and romance of your own private group. This is an exclusive opportunity to hike to the top of Nānākuli Valley and enjoy the stunning western and southern coastlines of Oahu.

This tour is perfect for couples looking to enhance their relationship or any group seeking a more intimate, personal experience. Whether you want to share the ride with your significant other, family, or friends, you can customize the ride time to make it your own! Minimum group size is 2.

If a private ride isn’t available, you can opt for the Sunset Group ride for additional availability. If there are available spots, groups of 2, 3, and 4 will be split for a semi-private experience.

• Weight limit: Cannot exceed 230 lbs

Check-In Information:

• Please arrive 30 minutes before your ride’s start time to check in.

• Staff will ask you to sign a safety waiver (for Keiki, a parent or guardian must sign).

• Choose a helmet that fits snugly on your head (we offer various sizes).

• Grab a saddle bag for your phone to keep your hands free during the ride.

• A short safety demo will be provided before the ride begins.

• Meals (though we offer waters and other drinks for purchase before and after the ride)

Itinerary:

1. Check-in 30 minutes before the ride.

2. Sign the safety waiver (parent/guardian for Keiki).

3. Choose a helmet and grab a saddle bag for your phone.

4. Participate in a short safety demo before the ride.

5. Horses will be assigned based on weight; no changes allowed.

6. Begin your scenic trail ride led by a professional guide.

7. Horses may stop to relieve themselves, but your guide will ensure everyone is on track.

8. Photo stop during the ride for memorable pictures with the amazing scenery.

9. After the ride, remain on the horse until dismounting instructions are given.

10. Enjoy a treat for the horses after the ride, with guidance on how to safely feed them.

11. Staff will be available for merchandise purchases and to answer any questions.

Check-In Details:

• Please arrive 30 minutes before your activity’s start time to check in.

• You will be required to sign a safety waiver.

  • Minors (18 and under) must have the waiver signed by a parent or guardian (no exceptions).

• 15 minutes before the ride, we will hold a safety demonstration with instructions on how to ride and handle the horse. Be on time to participate in this demo, as it is required before the ride.

What to Bring:

• No backpacks allowed on the ride. We provide saddle bags to carry your phone, wallet, keys, water, etc.

Pālehua Trail Rides Policies

Arrival:

• Guests must arrive 30 minutes prior to the ride start time.

• Late arrivals may only join at the company’s sole discretion.

Cancellation/Change Policy:

• Changes or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the start of the ride to be eligible for a refund.

• For cancellations outside of 48 hours, please contact staff by phone or email at palehuatrailrides@gmail.com for a refund.

• Cancellations within 48 hours of the ride are non-refundable. No exceptions.

Weather Cancellations:

• We ride rain or shine.

• Cancellations due to weather or trail conditions are at the company’s sole discretion.

Sickness or Injury:

• Cancellations within 48 hours due to illness or injury are eligible for a one-year company credit in the form of a gift certificate, contingent upon the submission of a valid doctor’s note.

Traffic Policy:

• Refunds will not be issued for late arrivals due to traffic, and 100% of the booking total will be kept.

Guest Conduct:

• Guests must always follow staff instructions.

• Failure to comply may result in denial of services with no refund issued.

Weight Limit:

• Guests exceeding the maximum weight limit of 230 lbs are not eligible for a refund.

Helmets:

• Helmets are required for all rides and will be provided by the company.

Age Restrictions:

• Guests under 8 years old are not permitted on the ride.

• A parent or guardian must sign for keiki (children) under 18 years of age.
