Lessons are available every 1.5 hours, starting from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM.

Meeting Location:
Meet at either Pua’ena Point or Chun’s Reef, depending on the best surf conditions for the day. Our staff will contact you the day before or the morning of your lesson to confirm the location, so make sure your contact information is up to date.

  • Winter Location: Pua’ena Point

  • Summer Location: Chun’s Reef

Both locations are easily searchable on Google Maps.

Rates:

  • Private Lesson: $109.00 (1:1 Student to Instructor Ratio)

  • Semi-Private Lesson: $89.00 each (2:1 Student to Instructor Ratio)

  • Group Lesson: $79.00 (3 or more people)

North Shore Surfing Questions

  • Yes! We take beginners to protected areas with smaller waves on the North Shore. You won’t surf Pipeline as a beginner, but you’ll experience the North Shore’s unique atmosphere and perfect learning waves.

  • Summer months (May-September) offer ideal beginner conditions with smaller, gentler waves. Winter is better for observing the famous big wave surfing but lessons move to calmer areas.

  • Yes, transportation from Waikiki area is included in most North Shore packages. The journey itself is scenic and educational with stops at famous surf spots.

  • Possibly! The North Shore is home to many professional surfers, especially during winter months. You might see them practicing or competing at nearby world-class breaks.

  • North Shore offers more powerful waves, diverse breaks, and deeper surf culture. While Waikiki is perfect for learning, North Shore provides an authentic Hawaiian surfing experience with rich history.
