Your journey begins at our MMC Cabana, located at 497 Baldwin Avenue, where you’ll meet your dedicated driver. Before heading out, we’ll go over important safety information, fit your gear, and ensure your bike and helmet are tailored just for you.
As you ascend to the starting point—approximately 6,500 feet above sea level—your driver will share fascinating stories about the culture, traditions, and natural beauty of Maui and Haleakalā. You’ll also get insider tips on local restaurants, towns, and scenic spots to visit along your route.
Once at the top, your bike and helmet are handed over, and your downhill adventure officially begins!
Please note: These bikes are specifically designed for downhill use and do not have gears.
Your Scenic Route
Start at the Haleakalā Ranch, and dive into the excitement of Maui’s famous 29 switchback turns.
Enjoy panoramic views of neighboring islands Lāna‘i, Kahoʻolawe, and Molokini.
Ride through the refreshing slopes of Kula, where the air is rich with the scent of eucalyptus, ginger, lavender, and Maui’s native ʻŌhiʻa blossoms.
Hungry? Grab a bite at the local favorite, The Kula Lounge, before continuing downhill.
Next stop: Makawao, a charming upcountry town filled with unique shops, cafes, and the beloved Komoda Store, famous for their mouthwatering donuts.
Cruise past historic churches, roll through Paia, and take in views of the iconic Old Sugar Mill before reaching the final stop.
You’ll end your ride back at our base yard, where you can return your gear, grab a souvenir T-shirt, and reflect on your unforgettable journey through Maui.
