Snorkeling with Manta Rays on the Big Island has become one of the most popular experiences for visitors. Most guests leave saying this is one of the coolest things they have ever seen or done!

As we light up the ocean just after sunset, you’ll witness the buildup of plankton, which soon attracts the majestic manta rays. These graceful giants glide through the water, continuously feeding on the plankton, creating an incredible show that feels like an orchestrated performance just for you!

The best way to experience the manta rays is aboard Bullet’s authentic double-hull Hawaiian Canoe. With small groups or private tours, Bullet, one of Hawaii’s top watermen, shares his passion for the ocean and Hawaiian culture, making this experience a memory of a lifetime.

How do we get from kayaks to manta viewing?
Our support boat meets your kayak group at the predetermined manta viewing location. Kayaks are securely tied to the boat while you transition to snorkeling gear. This seamless process ensures you don’t miss optimal manta viewing time while keeping equipment safe and organized.
What if I get tired during the paddle?
Our kayak routes are designed for moderate fitness levels with rest stops included. If anyone becomes fatigued, our support boat can provide assistance or tow kayaks if necessary. The paddle portion typically lasts 60-90 minutes with opportunities to rest and enjoy the scenery.
Can I participate in just one activity?
This is designed as a combined experience, but we can accommodate special circumstances. However, the unique value of this tour is the seamless transition from sunset paddling to manta viewing, creating a complete evening adventure that showcases multiple aspects of Kona’s natural beauty.
What happens if it's too windy to kayak?
If wind conditions make kayaking unsafe, we’ll convert the tour to a sunset boat cruise followed by manta ray snorkeling. Safety is always our priority, and we’ll ensure you still have an amazing evening experience regardless of weather modifications needed.

Fabulous Road to Hana 7

We did the Road to Hana tour in Maui and it was amazing. We took so many beautiful pictures. Our tour guides name was Kalei, he made the tour great, he was very informative and made sure we knew when to have our camera ready. I would definitely request Kalei from Hawaiian tours to be our guide if we ever make it back to Maui 7.
