Activity Details:
Snorkeling with manta rays is a truly bucket-list experience. These gentle giants have no stingers, barbs, or teeth, making them completely harmless. Watching them move through the water column is a breathtaking sight.
After dark, snorkelers use bright lights attached to a foam board to attract plankton, the natural food source for manta rays. As the plankton gathers around the lights, the manta rays glide in to feast, making it easy to observe them feeding up close.
Before entering the water, our passionate and knowledgeable guides provide an informative briefing about manta ray behavior and what to expect during the night snorkel, ensuring everyone is well-prepared.
Once it’s dark, snorkelers will enter the water to witness the manta rays’ graceful and mesmerizing feeding ballet, sometimes swimming just inches away. Many of our guests say this snorkel is a highlight not just of their trip to Hawaii, but of their entire lives.
