Activity Details:
Join us on the world-famous Manta Ray Night Dive and Snorkel trip with Kona’s oldest dive shop! With over 40 years of experience sharing and caring for Kona’s underwater world, our friendly and safety-oriented guides will take you on a two-dive trip. The tour includes one dive before dark, followed by a sunset break and a light meal, then a second dive at night to encounter the majestic manta rays.

What’s Included:

2 guided dives or snorkel tours
Hot shower and bathroom onboard
Lunch, juice, and water
Tanks, weights, mask, snorkel, fins, and wetsuit
Other gear available for rent
Free gear storage for multi-day divers

What to Bring:

Certified divers must provide proof of certification.
Students and non-certified divers must meet all prerequisites for the course they are enrolled in.

Changes and Cancellations:

Standard individual trips and classes (Jan. 6 – Dec. 19): Changes and cancellations can be made with a full refund up to 24 hours before the trip.
Standard individual trips and classes (Dec. 20 – Jan. 5): Changes and cancellations can be made with a full refund up to 48 hours before the trip.
Organized group bookings: Changes and cancellations must be made 30 days in advance.
Pelagic Magic Dives: Changes and cancellations must be made 48 hours in advance.
Kids Camps: Changes and cancellations must be made 7 days in advance.
Professional Level Dive Courses: Changes and cancellations must be made 30 days in advance.
Private Charters and Group Events: A 10% non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking. Full payment is due and non-refundable 30 days prior to the Private Charter.

Alcohol and Drug Policy:

People under the influence of alcohol or drugs should not dive or snorkel.
Your reserved space may be canceled with no refund if you arrive under the influence.
A standby pass may be issued for use at a later time.
If you drink, you’re dry.

What certifications are needed for the diving portion?
Open Water certification minimum for diving participation. Advanced Open Water preferred for optimal deep manta encounters. Current certification card required with recent dive experience recommended.
Can I switch between diving and snorkeling during the trip?
Generally not recommended for safety reasons. We suggest choosing one primary activity based on experience and comfort level. Emergency surface protocols exist for divers if needed.
How do you ensure everyone gets equal manta viewing time?
Coordinated positioning ensures both divers and snorkelers experience optimal manta encounters. Extended trip duration accommodates both activities with dedicated viewing time for each group.
What happens if manta activity is better at depth versus surface?
Our experienced guides monitor conditions and adjust positioning to optimize encounters for both groups. We move to different locations or depths as needed to ensure all participants have great experiences.
Is this trip suitable for families with mixed experience levels?
Absolutely! This trip design specifically accommodates families with certified divers and non-divers, allowing everyone to participate together while choosing their comfort level.
