After a nonstop 6-8 week and 6,000 mile migration from Alaska, approximately 12,000 North Pacific Humpbacks arrive in the Hawaiian Islands every year around mid December for a season of mating, birthing, and nurturing their newborn calves. This annual migration is one of the longest of any mammal, and brings magic to the Hawaiian Islands each winter. Venture out of Hilo’s breakwall in search of these majestic creatures for an up close and personal, once in a lifetime experience!

Restrictions

This tour has a weight Limit of 275 lbs. Those with back problems or weakness should not participate in this tour. Whale migration is seasonal and tours only operate during the winter months. Hilo is exposed to the windward shore. Please be prepared for possible rough seas and rain. Sea sickness medication is recommended for those unaccustomed to the open ocean. Children under 5 years are not permitted.

Customers will receive a full refund with 24 hours notice of cancellation. Customers will also receive a full refund in case of operator cancellation due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
